The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented QA/QC Administrator to support fabrication and field construction projects across Alberta's oil and gas sector.
This position plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the company's Quality Management System by coordinating project documentation, supporting inspection activities, maintaining turnover records, and ensuring every project is completed in accordance with client specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Working alongside Project Managers, QA/QC personnel, fabrication teams, inspectors, and clients, you'll help ensure every weld, inspection, material receipt, hydrotest, and quality document is accurately tracked from project kickoff through final turnover.

Responsibilities
Quality Documentation & Administration
- Coordinate and maintain QA/QC documentation throughout all phases of fabrication and field construction projects.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain project quality files.
- Compile complete turnover packages for client handover.
- Maintain accurate quality records in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure documentation complies with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
Inspection Support
- Assist with inspections of incoming materials, fabrication activities, and field installations.
- Review material receiving documentation for completeness and specification compliance.
- Support Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Maintain hydrotest documentation.
- Coordinate weld logs and material traceability records.
- Track Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) documentation and inspection reports.
Technical Review
Review and interpret:
- P&IDs
- Isometric Drawings
- Structural Drawings
- Client Specifications
- Construction Documentation
Verify documentation complies with applicable:
- ASME Standards
- CSA Standards
- ABSA Requirements
- CWB Requirements
- Company Quality Procedures
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Fabrication Teams, Inspectors, and Clients.
- Support regulatory inspections and client audits.
- Monitor quality documentation to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
- Previous QA/QC experience within the oil and gas industry preferred.
- Experience supporting fabrication and field construction projects.
- Working knowledge of:
- Welded piping
- Structural steel
- Fabrication processes
- Field installation practices
- Familiarity with:
- ABSA
- ASME
- CSA
- CWB
- Weld procedures
- Hydrotesting
- NDE documentation
- Ability to interpret:
- P&IDs
- Isometric Drawings
- Structural Drawings
- Strong organizational and document control skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, Acorn, or similar software is considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence is considered an asset.
