The Opportunity
We are seeking Journeyperson and Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technicians for Oil Sands operations (FIFO).
This is a high-paying, rotational role offering premium compensation, camp accommodations, and long-term project stability.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair large-scale mining equipment
- Perform scheduled maintenance and component change-outs
- Work on haul trucks, shovels, loaders, and heavy production equipment
- Interpret technical drawings and OEM specifications
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Journeyperson certification OR registered Apprentice (Year 2–4 preferred)
- Experience in mining, oil sands, or heavy industrial environments strongly preferred
- Strong hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical skills
- Ability to work rotational shifts (e.g., 7/7, 14/14)
- Willingness to work in camp-based environments
- Ability to pass full pre-employment screening
Compensation & Benefits
- Wage: $55.00 – $65.00+ per hour
- Overtime eligibility based on shift structure
