The Opportunity
Our clients are seeking Journeyperson and Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technicians to support operations across Grande Prairie and Peace River in both shop and field environments.
This is a full-time opportunity offering competitive wages, overtime, and strong long-term career potential within industrial and resource-based operations.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, dozers, and support equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and component replacements
- Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues
- Interpret schematics and technical documentation
- Maintain safety standards and accurate service records
Qualifications
- Journeyperson certification OR registered Apprentice (Year 1–4)
- Experience working in industrial, construction, forestry, or oil & gas environments
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently in remote or field environments
- Ability to meet pre-employment requirements
Compensation & Benefits
- Wage: $30.00 – $55.00 per hour
- Overtime Pay (1.5x and 2.0x where applicable)
- Full-time employment with stability
